About this course

This course was built in Framer using AI-assisted design — each of the 18 interactive lessons was crafted through a collaborative process between human judgment and Claude. I used Grammarly to help write the narration and CapCut for text-to-speech so that the course would be more accessible and engaging as an audio experience, too. Every concept, framework, exercise, and checklist was shaped by the belief that compliance and great UX are not in opposition — they are, when designed well, the same thing.

This wasn't a one-shot project. It started when one Sunday I was sitting in Shopify for Builder Sundays event and decided to test whether I could build something to teach myself this field — and once I got into it, I kept going, over many evenings and weekends. Along the way, I shared the idea with a few people and got some interesting reactions: it turns out it's not just designers who don't know this material — developers were curious too, about the why and how of compliance in fintech. A few people were surprised you could build a course like this without being a deep expert going in — but that's kind of the point. It was a genuine learning journey, and I hope you get real value out of it.

It is the first in a series, with additional courses planned to cover topics such as payments UX, investment product design, and open banking. Based on the feedback here, I may keep building more courses in this series — so if this was useful, share it on LinkedIn and tag me, or just subscribe for the next one. Either is a good signal that it's worth continuing.
